Sawn timber and pulp prices were clearly lower than they were one year ago and this caused the aggregate value of the forest industry’s production to contract slightly more than the volume of production; the value of production stood at about €3.3 billion in the second quarter. The aggregate value of the industry’s production in January-June is estimated to have been a little less than €7 billion.
