The forest industry bases its operations on sustainably produced, renewable, recyclable and climate-friendly raw material. Together with the forest cluster that has built up around it, the forest industry provides Finland with about a third of its net export revenues. The forest cluster provides employment directly or indirectly for about 200,000 Finns and for almost 100,000 people in other countries.
