Overall exports grew 20 percent from May 2009. The aggregate value of forest industry exports in January-May 2010 was €4.1 billion, 17.5% more than in the corresponding period of 2009. The wood products industry's exports (incl. furniture) were valued at €0.8b and the pulp and paper industry's at €3.3b.

The forest industry accounted for 22% of overall goods exports.
