The Finnish Forest Industries Federation will reply to the National Conciliator's proposal later this evening.

A resolution to the dispute with salaried paper industry employees has been sought since the beginning of April. Employers have offered a pay solution that matches the amount and format agreed to with the industry's other personnel groups, in addition to which it provides the possibility of developing company-specific pay systems.

More than 3,000 people are covered by the collective labour agreement for salaried paper industry employees.
