Furniture and joinery industry employees negotiate collective labour agreement
The Association of Finnish Furniture and Joinery Industries and the Wood and Allied Workers’ Union have negotiated a collective labour agreement under which the pay of furniture and joinery industry employees will increase by 0.5%.

If necessary, company-specific agreements to cancel or postpone pay hikes can be negotiated.

The parties have also agreed on the implementation of labour-cost lowering measures such as the possibility to simplify overtime pay.

It was also agreed to start a restructuring of the collective labour agreement with the overall aim of increasing productivity and promoting local agreements.

The agreement is in force from 19 Feb 2010 to 31 Jan 2013.
